Three arrested on drug charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Three people were arrested after a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Palmer Street.

Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed the search warrant at 516 Palmer Street in the upper apartment at about 4:10 p.m. on Nov. 13.

The Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team made entry into the apartment and located Jamal M. Jackson, Krystafur J. Bowman and Jamarr A. Cunningham inside.

Jackson attempted to escape out of a second story window, according to police.

A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of approximately 136.1 grams of cocaine, 15.9 grams of crack cocaine, 291.5 grams of fentanyl and 485.3 grams of methamphetamine.

Police also seized a glass bowl for cooking drugs, plastic baggies for packaging drugs, digital scales for weighing drugs and a quantity of U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from selling drugs.

All three were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

All three individuals are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

All three individuals are convicted felons and were arraigned before Judge John Lamancuso Jr. in Jamestown City Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department and Jamestown Fire Department.
