Missing man with dementia found safe in Clay

CLAY, NY — A 73-year-old man with dementia who went missing Tuesday evening has been found safe, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

David Woodruff was last seen around 6:18 p.m. near Norstar Boulevard in the town of Clay.

Woodruff is described as a white male with gray hair, hazel eyes and a mole on his forehead.

He was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, blue pants and a leather jacket at the time he went missing.

Authorities said he may have been wearing a brown knit cap.

The sheriff’s office thanked the public for sharing information about Woodruff’s disappearance.
