JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested on a shoplifting charge at a Walgreens on Friday afternoon.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon were dispatched to the store at 10 Prospect Street at approximately 12:05 p.m. on Oct. 24.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect leaving the store with merchandise without paying.
Officers located the suspect a short distance away at the corner of East 6th Street and North Main Street.
Christopher W. Smith, 42, of Jamestown, was taken into custody without incident.
Smith was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was held pending arraignment on one count of petit larceny.
