Man arrested on child endangerment charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after police responded to a fight in progress on the city’s southside.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:57 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Police determined that Jamie P. Sheldon was engaged in a physical altercation with another person in the presence of two minor children.

Sheldon was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

He is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Sheldon is being held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
