JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Friday morning after police found him in possession of methamphetamine during a street check on the city’s East side.
Richard A. Poorman 3rd was taken into custody around 4 a.m. Oct. 24 by officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon.
Officers were patrolling the area when they observed Poorman, who was known to have several bench warrants through the department.
Police conducted a street check and arrested Poorman without incident.
During the check, officers discovered Poorman was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Poorman was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment.
