TENAFLY, NJ — A 26-year-old man has been arrested on charges of possession of child sexual abuse material following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Steven K. Grossman, of Tenafly, was taken into custody Friday after members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at his residence.
The investigation revealed that Grossman used the internet to view, download and possess more than 100 digital files depicting nude and sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Grossman was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.
The Tenafly Police Department and the New York City Police Department assisted in the investigation.
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Norwood Police Department, Waldwick Police Department, Washington Township Police Department and Woodcliff Lake Police Department, which all participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force, also assisted.
