PENN YAN, NY — A woman faces a dangerous dog charge after her pet attacked a bicyclist.
Jessica M. Thompson, 32, of Penn Yan was issued a village ordinance ticket after her dog got loose and chased a person riding a bicycle.
The victim was bitten in the ankle and suffered lacerations, bruising and swelling from the bite.
The victim also fell from their bicycle and struck their head on the pavement during the incident.
Thompson was able to regain control of the dog and take it home.
Thompson will appear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.
