HINESBURG — Vermont State Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash on Silver Street at 7:36 p.m. Saturday.
Logan Cody, 24, of Shelburne, was driving a 2018 Ram 1500 pickup northbound in the southbound lane when he collided with a 2013 Kia Optima operated by Lauren Morrill, 63, of North Ferrisburgh, who was traveling southbound.
Cody was transported to UVM Medical Center with serious non-life threatening injuries.
Morrill was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Both vehicles were totaled in the crash, which occurred under clear weather conditions on dry roads.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
On Sunday, Cody was cited for gross negligent operation resulting in death.
Police said further charges will be determined as the investigation continues.
