Penn Yan man arrested on DWI charges with child passenger

PENN YAN — A 35-year-old Penn Yan man was arrested early Saturday on multiple charges including driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

Brandon Bulley Sr. was taken into custody at 12:06 a.m. on Esperanza Road in the Town of Jerusalem following a traffic stop by Yates County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies conducted the traffic stop for a vehicle and traffic violation.

During the stop, Bulley displayed signs of intoxication and refused to take field sobriety tests, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bulley was transported to the Yates County Jail where he refused to submit to a chemical test.

He faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with child passenger under 16, speeding in a 55 mph zone, reckless driving and improper restraint of a backseat passenger aged 4-7.

Bulley was held for arraignment.
