IRONDEQUOIT — A 30-year-old Rochester man suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing through the front plate glass window of a lounge early this morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. at Lush Resto Lounge, located at 527 E. Ridge Road.

An Irondequoit Police sergeant was completing paperwork while parked across the street when numerous female patrons exited the establishment and began physically assaulting each other.

The sergeant called for backup and immediately attempted to break up the fights.

While officers were dealing with the unruly crowd, the man came crashing through the front window of the lounge.

The man was bleeding profusely from a large laceration to his torso.

Officers immediately began rendering lifesaving aid and kept him alive until he could be transported to Strong Hospital via Irondequoit Ambulance.

The man appears to have suffered a life-threatening injury to his liver.

Officers are actively monitoring his condition and conducting a thorough investigation.

Police have secured the scene to process it for evidence.

It remains unclear whether the man suffered his injuries from an assault inside the location or while crashing through the glass.

No arrests have been made.

The establishment appears to lack a New York State liquor license.
