PENN YAN — Police arrested Tyler Spoor, 34, of Penn Yan for burglary in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree after receiving a report of a stolen motor vehicle.
Police allege Spoor entered the victim’s residence, stole vehicle keys and then left with the victim’s vehicle.
Officers located Spoor operating the stolen motor vehicle on Linden Street in the village and took him into custody.
Spoor was also charged with seven counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and seven counts of aggravated unlicensed operation stemming from an investigation into Spoor taking the same stolen vehicle without authorization on seven separate dates.
Spoor was held in jail to await centralized arraignment.
