OSWEGATCHIE — New York State Police arrested Brandon M. Hooper, 27, of Heuvelton, for second-degree assault resulting in injury to a victim aged 65 or older on Sept. 28.
Police responded to McIlwee Road in Oswegatchie at approximately 3:09 p.m. on Sept. 28 for an assault complaint.
Investigators determined that on Sept. 21, Hooper had engaged in a verbal argument with the elderly victim.
The altercation escalated when Hooper grabbed the victim and threw them to the ground, causing physical injury.
Troopers located and arrested Hooper, then transported him to SP Ogdensburg for processing.
He was arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
