EVERETT — A monthslong narcotics investigation culminated Friday evening with an arrest and the seizure of drugs and cash.
The Everett Police Department’s Special Criminal Investigations Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at a Malden residence around 6 p.m. on Sept. 19.
Investigators recovered approximately 17 grams of suspected crack cocaine and several thousand dollars in cash.
They also seized scales and other items believed to be used for weighing, packaging, and distributing the narcotics.
Jacory Austin, 42, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, cocaine.
Members of the Everett Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, Community Services Unit, and the Malden Police Detectives Unit assisted in the operation.
Austin is scheduled for arraignment in Malden District Court on Monday.
