BRUSHTON — New York State Police arrested Randy A. Bassett, 58, of Brushton, for criminal mischief and harassment on Sept. 4.

Troopers responded to Washington Street in the village of Brushton at approximately 8:24 p.m. regarding a domestic dispute.

The investigation revealed that Bassett and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, and the parties were separated.

Later that evening, Bassett and the victim had another altercation in which Bassett threw a bucket at the victim, causing slight bruising, and broke a window by slamming a table against it.

Bassett was arrested and taken to SP Malone for processing.

He was subsequently released on an appearance ticket, which requires him to return to the Town of Moira Court later in September.
