MOIRA — New York State Police arrested William R. Gero, age 29, of Brushton, for endangering the welfare of a child and for criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation on Sept. 6.
At approximately 9:51 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on County Route 7 in the town of Moira.
Their investigation revealed that Gero and the victim, who was a child, had been involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when Gero placed his hands around the victim’s neck.
Although the victim did not lose consciousness, they did sustain red marks around their neck.
Gero was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing.
He was arraigned in the Town of Moira Court and was released on his own recognizance.
