Hartford man dies in single-vehicle crash on Red Barn Road

HARTFORD — Hartford Police responded to an iPhone crash notification in the area of 317 Red Barn Road on Aug. 29 at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Officers found a 2021 Toyota truck that had partially left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The male operator, age 42 of Hartford, was unresponsive in the vehicle.

Officers and arriving Hartford Fire personnel attempted lifesaving measures which were unsuccessful.

The operator was pronounced dead on scene.

Red Barn Road was reopened to vehicular traffic at approximately 1 a.m.

The case remains under investigation.

Hartford Police is withholding final determination regarding the cause of the crash until the investigation is complete.
