FENNER — An 82-year-old Oneida woman died Aug. 28 when her vehicle collided with a box truck at the intersection of Oxbow Road and East Mile Strip Road.
State Police responded to the two-vehicle crash at approximately 11:20 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox operated by the woman failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and was subsequently struck by a 2019 Freightliner box truck.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of her vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The box truck was operated by a 22-year-old male from West Winfield.
No injuries were reported to the truck driver.
State Police were assisted on scene by Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing.
