VALATIE — New York State Police from the Livingston barracks responded to a report of a previously occurred burglary at Cantele’s Car Wash, located at 1011 Kinderhook Street in the Village of Valatie on Aug. 18.
Video surveillance captured a male suspect forcibly entering the business and stealing a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot.
Kevin Raymond Jr., 30, of Kinderhook, was quickly identified and located due to the diligent investigative efforts of Troopers familiar with the area and the swift coordination between patrol and investigative units.
Raymond was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D felony.
Raymond was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail.
