MANCHESTER — Five people were arrested Aug. 20 following a street disturbance that led to the recovery of an illegal firearm.
Officers responded to Delmont Street at approximately 4:29 p.m. after receiving reports of several individuals fighting in the roadway.
When police arrived, they observed multiple people engaged in a physical altercation.
A vehicle connected to the incident was attempting to leave the area as officers arrived.
Responding officers blocked the roadway to prevent the car from fleeing.
The vehicle stopped near Delmont Street and Summit Street, where officers took three occupants into custody.
The occupants were identified as two adult males and one juvenile male.
During the investigation, officers recovered a Glock-style ghost gun from the car.
The firearm had no identifying marks or serial number and was equipped with an extended 40-round magazine loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition.
Officers also seized a realistic-looking BB gun resembling a firearm.
The investigation determined that the three males in the vehicle had brought two females to the Delmont Street address with the intent to fight another female.
The resulting disturbance prompted calls from witnesses, which led police to respond to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Trezir Johnson of Bloomfield, was charged with Breach of Peace 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Interfering with an Officer, and Illegal Possession of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle.
Johnson posted a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 17.
