Bristol woman arrested on warrant for suspended license, eluding police

BRISTOL — Troopers from the New Haven Barracks located Jill Smith at her residence on Aug. 16 at approximately 11:20 a.m.

Smith, 43, of Bristol, was known to have an active warrant for her arrest.

Per the order of the courts, Smith was taken into custody and transported to Marble Valley Correctional Facility in Rutland where she was held on $100 bail.

Smith was additionally issued a citation for Aug. 18 at 12:30 p.m. for the charge related to the warrant.

The active warrant contained charges of vehicle operation with suspended license and felony eluding a law enforcement officer with negligent operation.
