2 arrested in Enosburg for possession, sale of stolen property

ENOSBURG — Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after attempting to sell stolen items on Elm Street.

Vermont State Police from the St. Albans Barracks were notified at approximately 4:32 p.m. that Madison Ovitt, 24, of Enosburg, and Stewart Arbuckle, 35, of Enosburg, were attempting to sell stolen items.

Further investigation revealed that both Ovitt and Arbuckle were in possession of stolen property and had sold stolen property.

The victim was identified as Gary Ovitt, 74, of St. Albans.

Madison Ovitt was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County court on Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m.

Stewart Arbuckle was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County court on Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m.
