HIGHGATE — A 50-year-old Highgate man was arrested on multiple active warrants Thursday evening during a routine patrol.
Michael Sowa was located by Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Albans Barracks on Vermont Route 78 at approximately 5:25 p.m. Aug. 14.
Sowa was taken into custody per court order and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans.
He was held on $200 bail.
The active warrant contained charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, careless or negligent vehicle operation, and violation of conditions of release.
Sowa was issued a citation to appear in court Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. for the warrant-related charges.
