GREENFIELD — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check Monday at 9:24 a.m. in the town of Greenfield.
Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of a minor for assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony.
The minor is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to a person who was 65 years of age or older while they were more than 10 years younger than the victim.
They are accused of punching the victim to their face and arm resulting in physical injury.
The minor was arraigned before the Honorable James R. Davis of the Youth Part of the Saratoga County Court and released to pretrial services pending further proceedings.
