KEUKA PARK — Six people escaped without injury from a house fire that broke out early Sunday morning on Yoder Hill Road.
Yates County deputies and Branchport/Keuka Park fire departments responded to 3117 Yoder Hill Road at 1:39 a.m. Aug. 10 for reports of a house fire.
Upon arrival, the fire had spread from the deck into the east side of the house.
All six occupants of the house had safely evacuated before emergency responders arrived.
Multiple fire departments provided mutual aid assistance, including Penn Yan, Potter, Benton and Bellona fire departments.
The fire was extinguished before it could spread to any other structures.
The Yates County Fire Investigation Team determined the cause of the fire was accidental.
Penn Yan Ambulance and the Office of Emergency Services also responded to the scene.
