ENOSBURG — A Georgia man faces multiple charges after fleeing a traffic stop Friday night.
Vermont State Police attempted to stop a vehicle near Water Tower Road and Main Street at approximately 10:16 p.m. on Aug. 8 for several motor vehicle violations.
The driver fled, and police did not pursue.
The vehicle was found about three miles away after leaving the roadway.
The operator, Corey Wood, 31, of Georgia, showed signs of impairment.
He was taken to Northwest Medical Center for minor injuries and processed for driving under the influence.
Wood was cited for DUI #2 refusal, negligent operation and attempting to elude.
He was released with a court date in Franklin County Superior Court.
