PEEKSKILL — State Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Sunoco Gas Station early Sunday.

Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrived at the scene at approximately 3 a.m. on June 15.

The victim, Carlos A. Tarma Quinde, 35, of Peekskill, told investigators he was stabbed during a physical altercation at a private residence on Beverly Road in Cortlandt.

Authorities identified the suspect as Arsenio F. Coronel-Espinoza, 47, of Cortlandt Manor, who is reportedly the victim’s uncle.

Investigators determined Coronel-Espinoza stabbed Tarma Quinde with a kitchen knife.

Coronel-Espinoza was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class D felonies.

He was arraigned in Cortlandt Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
