MARSHFIELD — A 27-year-old local woman reported an attempted burglary at her home early Friday morning.
The Vermont State Police responded to a call from Alex Caron of Marshfield at 5:41 a.m. on Aug. 8.
Caron said someone tried to break into her residence while she was sleeping.
The suspect fled before troopers arrived but was later located nearby.
A woman matching the description provided by Caron was taken into custody.
She was charged with burglary into an occupied dwelling and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
The suspect, who refused to identify herself, was held on $5,000 bail after appearing in Washington County Superior Court.
Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying the woman, referred to as “Jane Doe.”
