POULTNEY — A Massachusetts man crashed his commercial truck after being unable to maintain his lane on Vermont Route 30 on Aug. 5.
Juan Perez Roman, 23, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, was driving a 2025 Freightliner M2 south on Route 30 at approximately 1:40 p.m. when he exited the west side of the roadway near 4824 Route 30.
The truck came to rest in an uncontrolled position in the grass portion of the bank.
Roman was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries.
He declined medical treatment.
The truck sustained minor damage.
Weather conditions were clear with dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks investigated the single-vehicle crash.
Poultney Fire Department and Fair Haven Rescue assisted at the scene.
A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
