LATHAM — State Police arrested a 32-year-old Albany man Monday on charges of possessing child sexual exploitation material.

Anthony R. Burlingame was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.

The arrest followed an investigation that began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

State Police worked with the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on the case.

Burlingame was processed at the State Police barracks in Latham.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albany City Court on Aug. 11 and released.
