SHELDON — Vermont State Police responded to a four-vehicle collision on Route 105 near Route 236 at approximately 5:38 p.m. Friday.
A 16-year-old driver from Swanton operating a 2019 Ford Expedition was unable to stop in traffic and struck a 2017 Volkswagen Passat driven by a 16-year-old from Montgomery that was stopped in traffic.
The collision caused a chain reaction, with the Volkswagen striking a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Kathryn Fleming, 33, of Colchester.
Fleming’s vehicle then struck a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Britny Johnson, 31, of St. Albans.
All four drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries.
No airbags deployed in any of the vehicles.
The Ford Expedition sustained front-end damage, while the Volkswagen and Chevrolet Malibu both had front-end and rear-end damage.
The Chevrolet Traverse had rear-end damage.
Sheldon Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance Service and Cota’s Towing assisted at the scene.
