BARNARD — Vermont State Police arrested a 25-year-old transient man on multiple in-state and out-of-state warrants Saturday night.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks located Mark E. Sutton Jr. at a residence on North Road at 8:45 p.m. July 26.
Sutton was wanted on 12 Vermont warrants including felony charges of vehicle operation with gross negligence causing serious injury, leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury, eluding law enforcement with negligent operation, aggravated vehicle operation without owner’s consent, and buying or possessing stolen property over $900.
Additional Vermont charges include misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, multiple vehicle operation violations, simple assault on a protected professional causing bodily injury, unlawful trespass of a motor vehicle, and violation of conditions of release.
Sutton also faces extradition to New Hampshire on two felony failure to appear warrants for retail theft and theft.
Police transported Sutton to the Royalton Barracks for processing before lodging him at Southern State Correctional Facility.
