GERRY — A long-term narcotics investigation led to a large cocaine seizure and an arrest in the Town of Gerry on Wednesday, July 23.
Narcotics investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and Dunkirk Police Department executed a search warrant at 1842 Hanson Rd in the Town of Gerry around 6 a.m., with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team making entry into the residence.
During the entry, Chaze A. Johnson was located inside the home.
Investigators seized approximately 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, 7.6 pounds of cannabis, 10.9 grams of MDMA, scales and packaging materials, three loaded semi-automatic pistols, two high-capacity pistol magazines, a .22 caliber rifle, and $11,278 in currency from the residence.
Johnson was charged with first- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Johnson was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Jail for arraignment in the centralized arraignment program.
