PENN YAN — Santos M. Roderick, 41, of Penn Yan was arrested by Penn Yan Police on charges of criminal contempt in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree following a domestic complaint.
Police said Roderick allegedly struck another village resident in the face with an object that he intentionally threw at them.
The individual who was struck is the protected party in an active stay away order of protection against Roderick, according to police.
Roderick was transported to the police department for arrest processing and later released on an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
