SCITUATE — Two men were arrested Wednesday following a high-speed police chase connected to a shooting in Cranston, Rhode Island State Police said.
Troopers arrested Andres Pizarro, 22, of Fall River, Massachusetts, at 12:10 p.m. July 9.
Pizarro was charged with license or permit to carry concealed pistol or revolver, resisting legal or illegal arrest, and obstruction of an officer in the execution of duty.
Andres Ross, 31, of Pawtucket, was also arrested at the same time and location.
Ross faces charges including eluding law enforcement in high-speed pursuit, reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting legal or illegal arrest, obstruction of officer in execution of duty, and two counts of failure to stop in an accident resulting in damage to vehicle.
The arrests resulted from a BOLO alert for a confirmed shooting broadcast by the Cranston Police Department, according to state police.
Troopers pursued the suspect vehicle before making the arrests.
Both men were transported to state police headquarters where they were processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
Ross will be presented as a bail and probation violator, police said.
