Police arrest 16 in Batavia area on various charges

BATAVIA — Police have arrested 16 people on various charges ranging from weapons possession to driving while intoxicated over a recent two-week period.

Francis A. Coombs, 58, of Batavia, was arrested June 25 for second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police allege Coombs threatened another person with a knife during an altercation on East Main Street.

He was arraigned in Batavia City Court.

Kevin Q. Thomas, 62, of Batavia, was arrested June 27 for third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Thomas allegedly entered the YMCA after previously being trespassed and stole property.

Thomas was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to report change of address as a sex offender.

He was arraigned in CAP Court.

Govher Hemrayeva, 30, of Batavia, was arrested July 2 for trespass.

Police allege Hemrayeva refused to leave a residence on Allanview Drive.

She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

Jacob J. Frayne, 27, of Darien, was arrested July 1 on a bench warrant.

The warrant stems from a traffic stop in June when Frayne was issued a misdemeanor traffic ticket.

He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

Nicholas A. Cinquino III, 42, of Batavia, was arrested June 29 for driving while intoxicated.

Cinquino was charged following a traffic stop on Harvester Avenue.

He was issued several traffic tickets and released.

Jordan M. Conyer, 40, of Rochester, was arrested June 26 on a warrant.

The warrant stems from a traffic stop in April when he was issued a misdemeanor traffic ticket.

He was arraigned in Batavia City Court.

Glen H. Quintern, 66, of Batavia, was arrested June 27 for second-degree obstructing governmental administration and numerous traffic violations.

Police allege Quintern fled from police on an e-bike when they attempted to stop him for a traffic violation.

He was issued several traffic tickets and released.

Anthony G. Cicoria, 56, of Batavia, was arrested June 27 for public lewdness.

Police allege Cicoria exposed himself on West Main Street.

He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

Zachary R. Eichenberger, 40, of Batavia, was arrested June 27 on a warrant.

The warrant stems from an incident when Eichenberger allegedly stole merchandise from Aldi.

He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

Carl T. Amesbury, 32, of Batavia, was arrested June 26 on a warrant.

Amesbury was initially charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence following a traffic stop on West Main Street in June.

He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

The warrant was issued when he failed to appear in court.

Amesbury was arraigned in Batavia City Court.

Tiffany A.M. Kent, 36, of Batavia, was arrested July 1 for endangering the welfare of a child.

Kent was charged following an investigation into an incident June 3 when Kent’s daughter fell from a second story window while under Kent’s supervision.

Kent was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

Alisha M. Evans, 32, of Albion, was arrested June 28 for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Evans was allegedly found in possession of narcotics during a traffic stop on West Main Street Feb. 5.

Evans was arraigned in CAP Court.

Shandell M. Lissow, 37, of Batavia, was arrested June 26 for petit larceny.

The charge stems from an incident June 19 when Lissow allegedly stole merchandise from Kwik Fill.

She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court July 8.

Jeanna M. Hattaway, 38, of Batavia, was arrested June 28 for petit larceny.

Hattaway allegedly stole a computer from Marchese Computer.
