SODUS — A 21-year-old Sodus man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left a 26-year-old man hospitalized.
New York State Police at SP Wolcott responded to a report of a stabbing in the village of Sodus on June 27.
The victim was transported to the Sodus Fire Department by a private vehicle before being taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.
Following an investigation, troopers identified Darin Barber Jr. as the suspect in the stabbing.
Barber responded to SP Lyons on June 30, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Barber was charged with assault in the first degree, a B felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a D felony.
He was transported to the Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment.
