WEST SENECA — Two identified suspects, a 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were reported to have shoplifted from Bath & Body Works on June 15.

The loss prevention employee who reported the theft stated he observed the pair conceal nearly $600 in merchandise in their shopping bags and walk out of the store.

He recognized them from other shoplifting incidents at other Bath & Body Works locations.

Criminal summonses have been issued charging both suspects with petit larceny and conspiracy in the 6th degree.

A man reported he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident while exiting the 219 onto Ridge Road.

A Nissan SUV drove onto the shoulder to go around him and side-swiped his vehicle.

He was able to provide police with what he thought was the license plate number of the striking vehicle.

Accident investigators are working to identify and locate the driver.

A 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were arrested June 16 after police and EMS responded to a Seneca Creek Road address for a report of an unresponsive female with unknown life status.

Officers had to administer Narcan and rescue breaths in order to revive her.

Also inside the house were the man, who was highly intoxicated, and their one-year-old child.

An open bottle of liquor was observed in the same general area as the child, who was naked and crying.

When the woman was revived, both she and the man became belligerent and uncooperative with patrols.

Both were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The child was left in care of a sober relative.

Police responded to Garry Drive June 17 for a property damage accident involving a town vehicle.

One of the Highway Department’s dump trucks was driving down the street when the bed, which was raised, caught and ripped down some electric and cable wires.

There was also a small amount of damage to the siding of one of the houses.

NYSEG and Verizon responded to repair the wires.

Unknown suspects entered and damaged multiple vehicles in the parking lot of the Staybridge Suites overnight June 18.

One victim, a Georgia man staying at the hotel, stated the suspects stole a Glock handgun and $700 cash from his unlocked truck.

Another victim observed damage to his windows, which looked to have come from a glass break tool.

Detectives are investigating.

A 67-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested for drunk driving June 19 following a multi-vehicle crash on Orchard Park Road.

The offender was driving southbound and attempted to pass another vehicle on the left when she struck two northbound vehicles.

A witness reported seeing her driving erratically, and officers observed several mini bottles of vodka on the front seat.

The offender failed field sobriety tests and registered a .165% BAC on a preliminary breath test.

She was charged with DWI and a couple of traffic infractions.

A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested June 20 after patrols responded to investigate reports of a motorcycle driving recklessly on the Seneca Street ramps from the 400, driving in the wrong direction and doing wheelies.

The subject was eventually taken into custody and was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration in the 2nd degree.

The Accident Investigation Unit is attempting to make contact with the suspected driver in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Legion Drive outside the American Legion Post during Community Days on June 21.

Around 9:30 p.m., a pickup truck exiting the Post’s parking lot struck two parked and unoccupied vehicles.

Investigators have been able to tentatively identify it based on unique features including stickers and chrome wheels.

A Treehaven Road resident reported unknown suspects stole his vehicle out of his driveway.

He was awakened around 4 a.m. by the sound of his engine starting and his vehicle exiting his driveway.

The vehicle was recovered later that morning in Buffalo, abandoned in the parking lot of an apartment complex, both sides damaged and the sunroof broken.

It was towed and processed for evidence by WSPD detectives.
