BURLINGTON FLATS — A 26-year-old woman was arrested June 18 on multiple felony charges after deputies found her passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the middle of a roadway.
Victoria A. Sawyer of Burlington Flats was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a felony.
She also faces a felony charge of driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
Additional charges include aggravated unlicensed operation in the second and third degrees, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Sawyer was also cited for driving on slopes/shoulders, unsafe stopping/parking and unsafe backing.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a person passed out behind the wheel of a motor vehicle in the roadway.
Deputies determined Sawyer was impaired by drugs and had a revoked New York state driver’s license.
She was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Sawyer was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to appear in Hartwick Town Court at a later date.
