ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 37-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant while on patrol Thursday night.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were patrolling Union Street at approximately 10:41 p.m. June 26 when they learned Kailey Herbert had an outstanding warrant.
Officers located Herbert near a family member’s residence shortly after.
Herbert was wanted on a charge of retail theft of $250 or less.
Police confirmed Herbert’s identity and the warrant before taking her into custody.
Herbert was transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
She was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on June 27 at 12:30 p.m.
Herbert was then transported to Northeast Correctional Complex, where she was held on $100 bail.
