Bristol police find rifle, fentanyl in narcotics arrest

BRISTOL — Police arrested a Bristol man after finding an AR-style rifle and fentanyl during a search of his home June 25.

Officers from the police department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team and Crime Suppression Unit, along with New Britain police and the DEA Hartford Field Office, executed a search warrant at the residence.

Investigators located an AR-style rifle, fentanyl, and narcotics packaging materials inside the home.

Jaylen Wright, 22, of Bristol, was arrested and faces charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered or missing serial number, possession of a high-capacity magazine, negligent storage of a firearm, and illegal possession of an assault weapon.

Police said Wright posted bond and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Court in July.
