St. Johnsbury woman arrested on suspicion of drug-impaired driving

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs Sunday night after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle with an unresponsive occupant.

Christina Thompson of St. Johnsbury was taken into custody at approximately 8:35 p.m. June 22 on Sylvain Road.

Police were initially dispatched to investigate the suspicious vehicle, but the car left the scene upon the arrival of emergency medical services.

Troopers later located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Thompson displayed several indicators of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said.

She was transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing and issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court.
