GUILDERLAND — A 22-year-old Albany man was arrested Monday after allegedly breaking into a home and attacking the resident before being restrained by a neighbor.
Guilderland police responded to a report of a home invasion at approximately 4:37 p.m. on Dutch Hill Terrace.
Officers arrived to find Romario R. Hall being held on the ground by a neighboring resident.
Police said Hall, who was unknown to the victim, unlawfully entered the home and physically attacked the resident when asked to leave.
The altercation moved outside, where a nearby resident witnessed the struggle and intervened.
Investigators determined Hall had driven to the scene in a vehicle reported stolen from Albany.
Hall was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
He was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and remanded to Albany County Jail.
