Georgia sheriff’s K9 helps seize cocaine in vehicle search

FULTON COUNTY — A sheriff’s K9 helped locate cocaine during a vehicle search June 17 when a sergeant assisted a neighboring agency.

Sgt. Sherwood and his K9 partner Loki were requested by another agency to help with the vehicle search.

K9 Loki alerted to the presence of narcotics during the search.

Officers then conducted a search of the vehicle and its occupants following the alert.

A quantity of cocaine was located and seized along with a digital scale and several plastic baggies.

The digital scale is commonly used for weighing and selling narcotics, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
