BATH — An officer with the Village of Bath Police Department located and arrested Warren S. Hoffman, age 61, of Bath, on an active warrant for his arrest June 10 at approximately 7:30 p.m.
It is alleged that on May 27, Hoffman entered a business on Gansevoort Street, in the Village of Bath, and stole a donation box containing an amount of money that had been donated to the Finger Lakes SPCA by customers of the establishment.
Hoffman was quickly identified as a suspect and a warrant was requested.
Hoffman is charged with one count of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.
At the time of Hoffman’s arrest, he was found to be in possession of a digital scale and packaging material, commonly used for the packaging and sales of narcotics.
He was additionally charged with two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Hoffman was arraigned in Steuben County CAP Court and released.
