PASSADUMKEAG — Deputies from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 44-year-old man on drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Passadumkeag on May 31.
Alton Whitney of Enfield was taken into custody after deputies conducted a criminal violation traffic stop on Pleasant Street at approximately 5:50 p.m.
During an inventory of Whitney’s vehicle, law enforcement seized over 100 gross grams of methamphetamine and 25.5 gross grams of crack cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia.
Whitney was charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
