EAST HADDAM — Connecticut State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven gas station at knifepoint early Tuesday morning.
Troopers from Troop K in Colchester responded to the convenience store at 4 Falls Road in East Haddam around 1 a.m. May 27.
The male suspect entered the store displaying a fixed-blade knife approximately 10 inches in length and demanded money from the clerk.
A brief altercation occurred between the suspect and the clerk during the confrontation.
The suspect fled the scene with 10 packs of Newport cigarettes and was last seen traveling northbound on Route 149 riding a blue minibike.
Authorities describe the suspect as a fair-skinned male, approximately 6 feet tall with a heavy build, speaking with a Hispanic dialect.
He was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, black boots, green gloves, and a blue backpack at the time of the robbery.
The suspect was also wearing a black motorcycle helmet marked with a green biohazard symbol.
