BATAVIA — The Batavia Police Department has reported multiple arrests during the first ten days of May, including charges ranging from weapon possession to child endangerment.
On May 7, Davon H. Patton, 39, of Buffalo, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th after allegedly operating a stolen vehicle on Oak Street.
He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
That same day, Brian M. Raphael, 37, of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd after allegedly possessing a bludgeon described as a club with barbed wire wrapped around it.
He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.
On May 2, Daniel R. Yates, 55, of Batavia, was arrested for Attempted Robbery 3rd and Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd after allegedly attempting to take a Batavia Police Officer’s gun during an arrest.
He was arraigned and released under supervision of Genesee Justice.
Joseph M. Tornabene, 33, of Buffalo, was arrested on April 30 for Aggravated Family Offense and Criminal Contempt 2nd after allegedly violating an order of protection.
He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail following arraignment.
Marissa A. McGill, 39, of Batavia, faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Circumventing an Interlock Device on May 9.
Police allege she had a child blow into her vehicle’s interlock device and left children unattended for an extended period.
Michael J. Cutitta, 40, of Batavia, was arrested May 10 for Menacing 3rd after allegedly threatening to kill another person.
He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
On May 1, Colleen M. Hutchinson, 50, of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd stemming from a February 19 traffic stop on Ellicott Avenue.
Justin T. Gladney, 36, of Batavia, was arrested May 5 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th related to an incident from August 1, 2024.
He received an appearance ticket while already incarcerated at Genesee County Jail on a separate matter.
Kaila I. Tidd, 40, of Batavia, was arrested May 1 for Criminal Contempt 2nd and Endangering the Welfare of a Child after allegedly allowing a sex offender to be at her residence with her children, violating an order of protection.
Edward J. Ludwig, 62, of Alden, was arrested May 1 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th following a January 17 traffic stop.
Ricky A. Marsceill, 60, of Batavia, was arrested May 2 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th related to a May 20, 2024 traffic stop.
Bill A. Thomas, 65, of Batavia, was arrested May 2 on three bench warrants stemming from previous Trespass charges where he failed to appear in court.
On May 3, Michelle L. May, 50, of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd following an alleged physical altercation on East Main Street.
