Vandals damage field behind Belvidere community pavilion

BELVIDERE — Vermont State Police are investigating a case of vandalism that occurred in the fields behind the Belvidere Community Center on Rt 109.

According to police, at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 18, a dark-colored pickup truck was captured on surveillance cameras driving in circles or “doing donuts” on the fields behind the pavilion.

The incident caused significant damage to the field, authorities said.

Police were notified of the vandalism on May 21.

The case is being investigated as unlawful mischief, with the Town of Belvidere listed as the victim.
