NORWALK — Two men were arrested after police found loaded handguns, including one with an extended magazine, during a routine traffic stop Tuesday evening.
Norwalk patrol officers stopped a vehicle around 5 p.m. in the area of Cudlipp Street near Jacob Street after discovering the driver had a suspended license.
During the stop, officers found passenger Darius McGee, 23, in possession of a fully loaded Glock 45 handgun with an extended magazine.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a second loaded 9mm handgun with a defaced serial number, plastic baggies with suspected drug residue, and unidentified pills.
None of the vehicle’s occupants possessed a valid pistol permit, according to police.
Charles Razor, 26, the driver and registered owner of the vehicle, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, alteration of a serial number, operating under suspension, and possession of narcotics.
Razor, of Stamford, was held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 3.
McGee, also of Stamford, faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, illegal sale/purchase of a high capacity magazine, and possession of narcotics.
McGee was held on $200,000 bond with the same court date.
A third occupant, Dasiah Darielle McGee, 23, of Stamford, was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle and held on $10,000 bond.
All three individuals were taken into custody without incident, police said.
