ONONDAGA — State Police arrested a Skaneateles man on drug charges following a traffic stop on Kasson Road in Onondaga on May 18.
Troopers initially stopped the vehicle at 2:24 p.m. after observing it speeding on West Seneca Turnpike.
During the interview with the driver, identified as Kevin Dooley, 36, troopers observed a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance protruding from his pocket.
The substance was suspected to be Fentanyl, which was later confirmed through further investigation.
Dooley, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to SP LaFayette where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and speeding.
He was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Onondaga Court at a later date.
